Adam Poole, Director & Dean of Academics

Adam is passionate to see students instructed, matured and spiritually transformed through a relationship with God and knowledge of His Word. Adam was able to help plant a Calvary Chapel church in Recife, Brazil, where he served for almost two years until returning in 2003. Adam and his wife Grace have six children: Micah, Isaiah, Zachariah, Jeremiah, Charis, and James.

Desiree Gorham, Director of Systems Operations and Discipleship

Desiree serves faithfully in several different ministries at Calvary. She brings faithful leadership and a servant’s heart to the Cornerstone staff where she is able to implement new vision, oversee the discipleship team, and engage one on one with the students.

Kim Emert, Student Care and Recruiting Administrator

Kim has been serving at Calvary Corvallis since she graduated from Cornerstone. She currently serves with the middle school ministry in addition to Cornerstone. Her heart for anyone she works with or disciples is that they would seek after God and follow Him wherever He would lead them.

Bryan Hoffman, Instructor
(B.A., Western Oregon University)
Bryan has taught French in Zaire and in Salem, Oregon (with Chemeketa Community College). He and his wife have hosted international students for ten years. They have also led teams to Uganda for the last ten years, and Bryan serves as Chairman of the Advocacy Board supporting work in Karamoja, Uganda. He has also served in missions as the Missions Director at NW Hills Community Church, Corvallis. Bryan is currently working with Friends of Internationals and is on the Leadership Team for Perspectives in Corvallis.

Bryson Lewis, Instructor

Bryson serves as a prayer missionary associated with International House of Prayer, directing the Heart of the Valley House of Prayer in Corvallis. As the instructor for CSOM’s class on prayer he draws on scripture, his friendship with Jesus, his son-ship, and his priestly call from God to explore this integral part of life in the Kingdom.

Cindy Rodgers, Calvary Corvallis Office Manager

Cindy serves at the hub of ministry life at Calvary Corvallis. Cindy loves serving in her official roles as Calvary’s full-time Office Manager and Women’s Ministry Leader, but the thrust of her influence in the school comes from the sum of her life that she has spent walking with the Savior. Cindy loves being involved in shaping women’s lives and encouraging students to keep pressing hard after Jesus.

Chad Weaver, Calvary Corvallis College Pastor, Instructor

Chad serves as the Pastor of Real Life. Real Life is the college ministry here at Calvary. With many years of serving as a missionary to Oregon State University’s campus, experience of leading many missions teams across the globe, and a role in the missions team at Calvary Corvallis, he brings a wealth of knowledge to enrich the missions class and the whole school.

Greg Joines, Instructor

Greg is the Pastor if Christ Central Presbyterian Church, a new church plant in Corvallis. Before coming to Corvallis, Greg has served on staff at Mars Hill Church in Seattle, Grace Community Church in Charlotte, NC, and Hope Presbyterian Church in Portland. His roles have included counseling, discipleship, teaching, preaching, and team formation.

Heather Rodgers, Instructor

Heather has served with Calvary Corvallis for a number of years with a passion for discipleship. This has lead her to serve in several ministries; she is currently the director and cook for the House of Charis and on staff with Real Life College Ministry.

James has a passion for discipling the next generation, specifically in the areas of family relations, stewardship, and living a life pleasing to God.

Joe Kimmel, Instructor

Joe serves as an Associate Pastor at South Side Community Church in Corvallis. He’s passionate about walking intimately with the Lord while discipling and encouraging growth in others.

Lionel & Kristen Wilson, Instructors

Lionel and Kristen have been in full-time ministry and/or a part of leadership in ministry for the last 25 years. They are both passionate about encouraging others to find their purpose in life by helping facilitate understanding of gifts, identity, and God’s design through spiritual transformation, healing, self-discovery, and God’s Word.

Marc Andresen, Instructor
(M.Div., Fuller Theological Seminary)
Marc has spent 38 years in pastoral ministry, recently retiring after 25 years as pastor of Calvin Presbyterian Church in Corvallis. His passion is teaching; he particularly loves teaching and talking with young leaders both at home and in developing countries. Teaching leadership principles from Scripture provides the double opportunity to learn these principles while honing Bible study skills.

Moy Soriano, Capilla del Valle Pastor, Instructor

After graduating CSOM in 2008, Moy was led to start a Spanish fellowship (Capilla del Valle) at Calvary Corvallis. Not long after that he began developing and leading classes for the Spanish school of ministry. He loves teaching in both Spanish and English, marriage being his favorite topic. He and his wife Laura have five children and seven grandchildren. They have been involved with the marriage ministry since 2004, and he has been an elder since 2006.

Rick Fletcher, Calvary Corvallis Administrative Pastor

Since retiring from OSU in 2011, Rick has become the administrative pastor at Calvary Corvallis. He oversees multiple ministries and operations at Calvary Corvallis. He loves working with students, mentoring them and helping them pursue God’s plan for their lives.

Rob Verdeyen, Calvary Corvallis Senior Pastor, Instructor

As Senior Pastor of Calvary Corvallis, Rob brings to the school a depth of insight. Having been tried and tested in the ministry, he has seen God’s faithfulness time and again. Students will greatly benefit from one who has gone before them in life’s experiences.

Tom Ewers, Instructor
(Elder, Calvary Corvallis)
Tom brings to the Cornerstone classroom the lessons of a life well lived. He celebrates more than 30 years of marriage, the privilege of being entrusted with five children and three grandchildren, and living a life under the light of the Gospels. It is from this perspective that Tom tutors students from the life of Christ as recorded in the Gospel.
